It's a Need, Not a Want: 10 J.Crew Outfits That I'm Feverishly Adding to My Cart

If you're tapped into fashion even just a tiny bit, you'll know how much sartorial power J.Crew currently holds. Even as someone who never really shopped at the so-called "preppy" retailer until now, I fully understand the newfound hype. You can always find compliment-inducing standout pieces and easy basics you'll get plenty of wear out of. I'd even argue that you don't have to spend a penny at the store to find it helpful. How? Well, a favorite pastime of mine is looking through the outfits featured in the brand's campaign imagery and on J.Crew Creative Director Olympia Gayot's Instagram feed.

When I scroll through J.Crew's site, I create multiple outfits from the latest selection of new arrivals and best sellers. And while some can be loosely re-created with the basics I already own, I'm very tempted to purchase the unique It buys, including the aquatic-inspired jewelry our team can't stop talking about and the woven bags that look like they were made for a summer in the Hamptons.

If you're searching for fresh summer outfits, look no further. From office-ready attire to pretty vacation ensembles, I've got it all covered. Feel free to copy each look or shop any key pieces to style them yourself. Here's to a summer of stellar outfits.

Our editor-at-large Nicole noticed many of the most stylish fashion folk are pairing their all-white outfits with contrasting black accessories this summer. I had to include an option from J.Crew, and it's pretty darn chic.

The original bag is sold out, but this is a chic alternative.

Ready to hit the beach in style? It's always fun to play around with one colorful piece and then add neutral accessories so the focus is drawn to the swimsuit.

The starfish earrings have sold out, but these beauties also pack a fun punch.

Workwear doesn't always have to be simple and neutral. A vibrant jacket like this is perfect for summer and can easily be balanced with cream and black accessories.

Do you want to dress like Sofia Richie? Then this is the outfit for you. The key to jazzing up a simple white dress is the accessories, and each one included in this outfit is perfection.

The original clutch has sold out—Here's a great alternative.

The original heeled sandals are no longer available in black but this chic option fits the bill.

Once you get your hands on that linen miniskirt, it's over for anyone else. It comes with a matching top, but I prefer the more relaxed vibe of a T-shirt. It adds a cool and casual element. The jewelry still keeps the outfit looking elevated.

The original bag has now sold out but this bag also completes the look style.

The starfish cuff was bound to sell out but this option is another win.

Doesn't this entire outfit scream "French girl" to you?

With the black jacket no longer ins stock, this lovely navy alternative is worth considering.

The gold version of this bucket bag adds a fun flair.

I love the neutral pieces J.Crew makes, but it's the tasteful pops of color that really win me over.

Another lovely summer-ready bag option.

Don't worry. I've got your night-out look sorted. Coordinating the pearl earrings with the pearl bag ties the look together like a shiny red bow.

Chino shorts can come off a little too preppy or casual, but with the right styling, they can look expensive.

The black version works just as well.

While I love the look of all-white outfits with touches of black, I have to admit a bright blue poplin shirt looks just as good. If your vibe is chic yet comfortable, this is the look for you.

This color combo also complements the look.
